Matthew Fiedler is Co:Founder and Head of Technology for re:3D Inc with 20 years of experience in manufacturing and engineering. In 2013 he created Gigabot, the world’s largest affordable industrial 3D printer, and co:founded re:3D Inc with has grown to 20 employees serving customers in more than 50 countries worldwide. His educational foundation includes receiving his Bachelor’s and Maser’s degrees from University of Nebraska in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering. Matthew’s previous experience includes designed and conducted research experiments as part of the Biomechanics Laboratory at the NASA Johnson Space Center with the focus of mitigating the negative affects of space flight on astronaut crew members. Matthew’s publications in Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering and Additive Manufacturing includes 20 original articles in peer reviewed journals, conference proceedings and NASA Technical and Special Reports in addition to NSF SBIR reviewer in 2017 and reviewing for 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Journal. Matthew’s current focus is democratizing Additive Manufacturing and allowing people to solve problems with the use of human scale 3D printing.
